Having worked in banking, and washed my face in widows' tears, as well as drying it with overly optimistic business plans artfully fashioned from hot air, I'm glad to be out of it as younger thrusting, and too trusting, leaders discovered that large tranches of funds obtained by inter bank borrowing on 1 month rate were not wisely invested by lending them out over 40 year terms. I remember being told it was a new paradigm: it wasn't, and the carriage turned back into a pumpkin.
