A testing ride with a that climb and a bag full of cheeses, Nathan, and
lightheadedness is no joke as bicycle crashes are very unforgiving. I
know from bitter personal experiences myself. I'm currently being nailed
to the cross with a resurgence of my 33 year old cycling back injury.
Moral: lift Christmas trees out of your car boot VERY carefully.
My youngest son also just found out about cycle bangs as he crashed his
bicycle slipping on a oil slicked manhole cover a couple of weeks ago.
After a spectacular somersault, he was out with a badly damaged helmet,
a broken right clavicle, what was initially thought to be a separated
right AC joint, and, in addition, was also thought to have a broken
scaphoid on his left side. He's back home from his apartment for the
duration. having his food cut up by his parents, but good news in that
the further MRI and x-rays last week, show only a slightly torn A/C
joint and just a chipped triquetrium on the left, so healing will be a
lot quicker.

My own impersonation of Quasimodo means I won't be waving cameras about
during the holidays.
