This is quite interesting as an experiment in vision.  When I first saw
them I thought that they needed an anchor point; after studying the second
image I now think that is incorrect.  Your first instinct to make a true
abstract is probably the better path.  Humbly, look at these for a while
and explore the possibilities further.
