The other thing was magazines didn't want "little 35mm colour slides" for the "colour pages." Eventually that changed technically and 35mm was just fine as many of us found out! But today our "CANADIAN NATIONAL ARCHIVES HAVE IN THEIR VAULTS LITTERLY 1,000's upon 1,000's of Rollie B&W negs. & 21/4colour transparencies shot while covering assignments chasing about CANADA & some locations about the world. WHY DID I CHANGE?????? Then I switched to HASSELBLAD's quite simply for LENSES of choice ? HOWEVER?????????? MY HEART WAS OF LEICA 35MM ? More choice of lenses and smaller lighter bodies and I could carry 3 M's around my neck onto my chest. 2 LEICA MOTOR driven SLR's of VARIOUS LENSES and QUITE OFTEN ANOTHER SLR MOTOR driven on my right shoulder "EXTRA LONG LENS, JUST IN CASE?Assignments began moving into documentaries & complete Leica gear! On some assignments covered by photogs of other Nations, OLYMPICS,ROYAL TOURS, when I'd appear in this kind of collection. It would be answering all kinds of questions? "HOW DO YOU USE THEM AT THE SAME TIME?" Obviously? "VERY QUICKLY!" I rarely had to fiddle changing lenses or film. But yes a few times when I had 3 M's & 3 motor driven SLR's all hanging on body at the same time they became a bit of a chore. But once you became accustomed to them it wasn't too bad. TODAY? well as I've fallen into the more retired routine most of my LEICA gear has been sold off, KEEPING enough to cover my HAPPY SNAPPING URGES!" :-) cheers, Dr.ted Grant O.C. -----Original Message----- From: LUG [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Lluis Ripoll via LUG Sent: September-09-19 11:09 AM To: Leica Users Group Cc: Lluis Ripoll Subject: Re: [Leica] Back with the Rolleiflex TLR MF Merci Philippe, I think I shall go more frequently with the Rolleiflex, is a great camera!
