Nice to see family shots that would otherwise remain in a drawer somewhere. To digitize some of my older family slides, I ended up using the Novoflex negative/transparency holder and focusing stage with a macro lens. Its quick, produces 25MB files with a Leica M or Canon 5dMk3 and doesn?t require a lot of Photoshop manipulation to get very good results. I had a Nikon slide scanner that I could never get consistent results and then software became a nightmare when support was discontinued.
