I appreciate you researching your archive photo's for the comparison.  My
belief is that if you are hljust looking for shallow dog the 75 lux fits
the bill.  However, if you want to add a little impressionism the very fast
lenses like the Noctilux are just the tool.

I am cheating somewhat by using in effect a variable extension tube with my
Noctilux to accentuate optical flaws in close ups.  When I get back home I
will do the same with my 75 lux and also a 100 f2 Canon ltm.  Should be
interesting.
