My belief is that if you are hljust looking for shallow dog the 75 lux fits the bill. However, if you want to add a little impressionism the very fast lenses like the Noctilux are just the tool. I am cheating somewhat by using in effect a variable extension tube with my Noctilux to accentuate optical flaws in close ups. When I get back home I will do the same with my 75 lux and also a 100 f2 Canon ltm. Should be interesting.
