I did have the SSD drives installed internally when I had my computer built by a local guy. The catalogs actually take up very little room on the SSD drives. It's the actual photo files that take up the 24 4TB hard drives that I hook up when needed. I laughed when I saw that the new LR CC that is based on photos stored in the cloud came with 1 TB of cloud storage for your photos. I have almost 100 TB of photo files but they are only hooked up when I need them, except the current ones that I'm working on now. I build smart previews for the ones I work on often so I don't have to keep those hard drives hooked up all the time. The vast majority are sleeping peacefully on disconnected hard drives ready to be accessed when I need them. LR can still find anything I need whenever I need it based on my keywords and metadata. It is an amazing program. Tina On Tue, May 7, 2019 at 12:36 PM Jean-Michel Mertz via LUG < lug at leica-users.org> wrote: > Thank you, Tina, for your response. This is amazing!
