Good stuff, Nathan. I'm going with "Fuel is Needed" as the varying 
expressions make it.
I like the bare foot pilgrims too - a nice show of committment to their 
god...
Over here, at the tail end of July, we have a procession that climbs 
Croagh Patrick mountain in the west of Ireland, and many pilgrims still 
do it in bare feet. Unlike paved streets, the track up and down the 
mountain is stony, steep, and unforgiving, and the medical crews have a 
busy day. Of course, like almost all these customs, it's rooted in 
paganism and the beginning of the harvest when the god Lugh supplanted 
the dark god Crom Dubh. Here a link to a pic - not taken by me!
