When they were here last Fall, they told me they had located two zero-time engines and had purchased one, with donations, and were raising funds for the second one.? Apparently that came to pass. I have heard that the US supply has just about been exhausted, and the engines are being salvaged from crash sites overseas.? I haven't tried to substantiate that. "Zero-Time" is FAA nomenclature.? It means that the engine consists of parts that meet original specifications, showing no wear or deterioration, and is supplied with a zero-time log book. For these, it can be very expensive.
