I?ll be picturing it with a Nikkor 80-400 zoom. Unfortunately, I?m stuck in Ohio under 8? of fresh snow that fell over the last 24h, and tomorrow night?s temps will be 0? F or below by mid-eclipse just after midnight EST. Setting up a tripod would involve shoveling snow, so I?m going to do what I can hand-held at high ISO with a fast shutter. My 1085mm FL, 155mm f/7 apo refractor, of course, is spending the winter in Florida. I?m going to join it 6 days too late. ?howard > On 19Jan, 2019, at 2347, Howard Cummer via LUG <lug at leica-users.org> > wrote: > > Hi Luggers, > > Tomorrow night is the blood moon eclipse so tonight I had a bit of > practice with the Nikon D500 > and the 300f4.0PF plus 1.4 extender.
