Hi Crew,
What I find interesting is while I was shooting many of my assignments I had
to shoot with two Rolies most of the time. WHY?
Well many of the magazines and weekend sections of big newspapers never knew
until they saw our picture results whether the weekend sections would run in
colour or B&W?
ERGO: The most important subjects were all shot in both, colour and B&W. It
was a B&W film in one and usually an Ektachrome in the other.
Then when colour negative films became available we switched to that.
Then I switched to 3 Hasselblads and extra film magazines always handy
loaded!!And a bunch of lenses. One camera was the Hassie SWC.
Awwwww those were the days of shooting beautiful feature spreads and
documentaries.
However? Hassies became big gear boxes and 120 film! Now there you go
carrying a hundred rolls of 120 film. Or at least having it right handy.
Then reproduction equipment became "really modern" and I switched to 35mm
and became LEICA driven. And have been ever since.
While I was shooting almost 365 days a year all over North America, if I
wanted to accept the assignments offered from various clients. And as a
freelance photojournalist I had a never ending block of clients. As well as
shooting stock as time fillers. I just loved it "29 hours" a day.
I guess I can plug a biography published a year or so ago.

Nice series. Torn between the closer ones and the more environmental ones,
but I think the first one (#5) is the best balance. Lots of detail in the
face, yet it puts him in his environment. Nice.

I have shot a few portraits of my friend the Catalan painter Francesc
Artigau in his studio, using daylight, Rolleiflex with Zeiss Planar 80mm f
2.8, Kodak Tri-X 120, I have prepared myself the developer D-23 not more in
the market, at a dilution 1:1.

Please see the pictures in large size, thank you.
