It's one of the heaviest, bulkiest SL lenses anyway. I'm wearing my photo vest and a waist pack and carrying a small photo backpack so I can unload the camera bag at the gate if I have to. I'm hoping they won't weigh it. It looks really small until you try to pick it up. I'm carrying the 90-280 because part of the trip we will be in small boats in the mangroves looking for birds, monkeys, and tigers. We spend several nights on bigger boats in the river, too. We are also visiting schools and families in remote villages and I think I'll probably use the 90/2.0 then. The only thing I'm worried about is two different 10KM hikes. I have my hiking stick (monopod) disguised as a cane but I wish I had been going to the Y instead of being sick for the last month!! Our flight from Charlotte to Detroit is at 6 in the morning. To get there 3 hours early, we will leave the farm at 2. It's going to be a long New Year's Eve!! We will arrive not arrive in Dhaka until January 1st at 12:40 PM. I'll try to post when I can.
