Bitterns are resident in a nature reserve near me, which is a wetlands reserve where they amongst the reeds, but (no surprise) I have heard one but never seen one. By co-incidence I live in an area of my city which is named Bitterne (please note the ?e?) so i assume they must have been local here at some stage back in history. Best wishes from Southampton (UK) Gerry Gerry Walden 023 8046 3076 0797 287 7932 > On 4 Oct 2018, at 14:24, CartersXRd via LUG <lug at leica-users.org> wrote: > > For me, one of your best > > and that?s saying a great deal > > ric > > >> On Oct 4, 2018, at 8:17 AM, Doug Herr via LUG <lug at leica-users.org> >> wrote: >> >> American Bittern, hiding in plain sight >> >> http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/ardeidae/botaurus/ambitt15.html >> >> >> Doug Herr >> Birdman of Sacramento >> http://www.wildlightphoto.com >> http://doug-herr.fineartamerica.com >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Leica Users Group. >> See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
