Work on estimating distances, using moderate apertures and wider lenses. If finances aren't strained you can order an M2-6 and have it shipped next day air. This will work even if you are traveling to another location: you will just need confirmed reservations. This way you will have the time to repair your camera; however repairing/replacing a rangefinder might be as expensive as a replacement. All the best and good luck.
