Now that I'm finished with my weekend of organising our 50th school
reunion, I can start to catch up. Your excellent half marathon photo
caught my eye as it seems to be the European Masters Championship, and
that Spanish woman runner is no slouch going on the effort in her face
and her stride length. She reminds me of Alizia Romero a mountain runner
from the Basque region that I used to know whom I haven't met for about
twenty years. Funnily enough at the time, as well as being Irish team
manager, I wound up persuading the Spanish Federation that Alizia was
worthy to go to the Worlds as Spain did not send mountain running teams
at the time. I was more than helped by the fact that the Spanish
cultural attach? in Ireland used to run in our races, and his brother
was head of the Spanish Athletic Federation. I looked after both her and
the Irish. I think it was in Telfes in Austria back in '96. I must check.

Anyway, good picture Nathan.
