If you mean the 35mm f/2.8 Sony/Zeiss AF lens, there is a very interesting
alternative.  If you don't need AF, find a Canon 35mm f/2.8 FD model.
Except at f/2.8, and if you don't need AF, it's a sharper lens with much
less (virtually no) vignetting  and way less expensive.
