If you are not using high performance XQD or CFast cards, life becomes simpler. If I remember right, Leica and Sony only use SDXC UHS1 cards. If you are only using SD cards, and not carrying a laptop, Sanho Hyperdrives or WD My Passport Wireless Pro wifi enabled external hard drives. The former has a screen, (though the contents of the latter can be managed with a smartphone) the latter is more flexible for general use after your trip. https://www.hypershop.com/collections/vendors?q=hyperdrive https://www.wdc.com/products/portable-storage/my-passport-wireless-pro.html Cheers Jayanand Sent from my iPad > On 29-Jan-2018, at 07:04, Mark Kronquist <mak at teleport.com> wrote: > > > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Jan 28, 2018, at 5:28 PM, Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> >> wrote: >> >> I think a lot of people now just buy a bunch of memory cards as they are >> so cheap but they do not give you a backup. >> This would though and was all I could quickly find. >> GNARBOX 128GB Portable Backup & Editing System B&H # GNAR128V1 MFR # >> GNAR128V1 $299.99 >> >> A thing like this you'd think you'd have to spend $300 for. >> >> Seems like if you could just make dupes of cards at the end of the day >> you'd be doing ok. >> >> >> >> >> -- >> >> Mark William Rabiner >> Photographer >> >> ?On 1/28/18, 5:35 PM, "LUG on behalf of Doug Herr" >> <lug-bounces+mark=rabinergroup.com at leica-users.org on behalf of >> wildlightphoto at earthlink.net> wrote: >> >> I'm planning a month-long road trip this summer and I'm woefully behind >> the curve w.r.t. backup strategies.
