Subject: [Leica] Macro-Elmar-M 90mm f/4 user notes

My 90 f4 is black and my most used 90mm lens by far.Since the black versions 
are anodised aluminium and the chrome are plated brass the weight difference 
is big, though I suspect they could lighten the brass ones if they 
redesigned them with the stronger material in mind, but that would be 
expensive.The chrome plate on brass is considerably more resistant to damage 
than black anodic layer on ally.cheers,Frank

Frank, I've noticed the weight differences between the black and silver
lenses.? It seems a bit over the top.? Is there any reason to buy the
silver versions aside from, maybe, they look better in the glass case?
