This is with the 35mm Voigtlander f/1.7 VM, which is a very fine lens with the Sony. Smoke covers a huge expanse of the sky now, and you can see that the angle it's going up shows that the winds toward Santa Barbara/Goleta have increased, which is consistent with the dreaded "sundowner" winds that they fear. There are a lot of different types of fire tanker planes flying overhead.
