I think perhaps that you, Bob and I are using the camera quite different ways of course. A neck strap is a wrist leash insurance for me but holding the camera out somewhat extended arms off and on for some hours shooting a lot of frames quickly in sets, is when I am affected by the holding discomfort. If I am holding out the camera for the model to see the LCD previews I can become very unsteady armed! Just how the OIS operates when the shutter is at sync speed and the duration is that of the flash pulse, I haven't quite come to grips with. On cards, for my style of shooting with the SL I have two 32GB fast cards of which I might typically fill the first or a little more in a half day project..then there is tethering (not relevant you you or for Bob either of course).
