George told me he has no more selenium cells for them, and cannot get more. The Sekonic is probably still fixable, since they?re still being made. There?s a guy in England repairing them, He had new cells custom made for him. He repairs meters and also sells ones he has rebuilt. I have one of his rebuilt Master V meters and it works great. It was expensive, though. About $150. -- Chris Crawford Fine Art Photography Fort Wayne, Indiana 260-437-8990 http://www.chriscrawfordphoto.com My portfolio http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christopher-Crawford/48229272798 Become a fan on Facebook On 2/20/17, 12:46 PM, "LUG on behalf of Jim Hemenway" <lug-bounces+chris=chriscrawfordphoto.com at leica-users.org on behalf of jim at hemenway.com> wrote: >Douglas: > >I don't know of any Weston V repair enterprises in the old sod but on >the other side of the planet, I've had both of my Western V meters >selenium problem repaired at Quality Light Metric, in Hollywood >California. > >The problem is that the seals inside the meters begin to leak in air >after many, many years, > >My two were purchased by me in the 1960's and needed repair about ten >years ago.
