My wife is Colombian by origin, now British, and we usually speak to each other in Spanish. Since the Brexit vote she has ocassionally noted altered attitudes to her accent and to our speaking Spanish in the street. But Europe is very cosmopolitan and generally welcoming to diversity. I travel a lot around the world and would not feel inhibited from continuing to do so.
