Luis, actually I used a different system altogether, going for a light lens (300mm f4) mated to a APS-C body (Nikon D500), which really gave me reach of a 450mm f4 equivalent. If I needed more, I put a 1.4x teleconverter on, which made it the equivalent of a 630mm f5.6 lens - compact, light and easily handholdable! I was lucky that Nikon released a pro level, wildlife/sports oriented, APS-C body, the D500, at just the right time for this trip.
