Tina, here are a few hints.  First, many people don't realize that, if 
you pull the connector plug out of the iPhone charger block, you have a 
USB 2 connector.  This allows you to transfer the images from the phone 
to your computer just like any other camera.

Once you get the jpeg images into the photo editor software, you can 
make some quick improvements.

Level the image

Crop as desired

Sharpen to taste

Optimize brightness
