I had just come in from extremely bright sun and was sitting on a carpet in the dark where I could not move, talking to people I had never met in a language I could not understand. I've done all of that many times but I also had a new camera with automatic settings that I depended on. I had the Auto ISO set and it stayed at 50. When I realized that, I changed it to a higher ISO. All of the first photos are made at 50 ISO and I was hoping to rescue them some way. I'm not too disappointed in the results I got considering the circumstances.
