All of these images of this trip are very interesting as the middle east is fascinating. I still regret not going to Syria with a few of my old school pals a couple of years before the place blew up. It's certainly not the same any more. As for the shaved eyebrows, I'd imagine it's a another religious thing as women are supposed to conceal their hair, hence the burqa and other ridiculous conformities. As well as Islam, you also see the same tiresome idiocy around hair and clothing in some Jewish sects, and back in the 50s/early 60s, catholic women had to cover their heads when going to mass. What is it? It seems to be another form of gang culture in its own way. No, I'm not religious and I don't kneel in the direction of Solms ether:-) Douglas ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tina Manley" <tmanley at gmail.com> To: <MUGers at yahoogroups.com>; "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org>; "paw" <paw at micapeak.com>; "seephoto" <seephoto at micapeak.com>; "Olympus Camera Discussion" <olympus at thomasclausen.net> Sent: Sunday, May 15, 2016 11:10 PM Subject: [Leica] IMGS: Learning to Pray and Jameh Mosque > PESO: > > This is one of my favorites: > > http://tinamanley.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Iran/G0000YmlbTddL96g/I00008Z6cKBRo6JY > > Mohammed accompanied his father to the Jameh Mosque for noon prayers.
