For the market volume of 100MP, 645 sized sensors the MFDB represents, it is surprising Sony bothered. ( I guess that even at Sony, money talks) The sensor is 53.7 x 40.4. 35mm sensors are 24x36 ( approx.) Using a bit of slick and relatively 4th grade math, the equivalent pixel resolution, using the same pixel density is..... 40MP. Same as the new Sony A7rII. No direct fallout for us "miniature" sensor users that I can see..... Like hoping for a 100MP Leica M11.
