With the M's you don't have a choice but to depend on the hard stop. On other camera's with a good EVF or LCD (use a loupe) it's best to see your focus on the stars. Hope this helps chip away at spending all your $ on the SL. I certainly am considering it except that for my WA lenses don't play well with it. So in addition to the SL I would need a 35/1,4 ASPH and a 21/1,4 ASPH.
