The customer base that Leica is chasing does not have a significant problem with the extra $2k for the top of the line vs a dumbed down model. In fact, if you are buying your first Leica, and you represent a certain luxury market segment, purchasing a less than ultimate model is a failure. The reality of the 262 is that the differences are or at least appear to be totally firmware issues over the M240. Nice marketing idea to have 240 users buy a new second body and new to Leica users to have a need to buy glass, where Leica really makes money.
