I have a setup for my tripod that holds a golf umbrella over the top of the camera and tripod: I put the camera bag underneath on a large garbage bag with a large garbage bag on top. Cover the lens with one of those super absorbent cloths. But you can't travel with a golf umbrella and a smaller umbrella won't go up high enough to cover the camera. Guess I could devise something with a breakdown umbrella stem... But totally agree with bad weather being wonderful! Thanks for looking!
