It's still JUST garbage and shouldn't even be considered in a "FINE ART" category! Nor any other! But then what do I know about so called "FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY?" Maybe now that I've put in over 60 years shooting real photography in a "great many categories and locations about the world?" Maybe I could finish out my last 14 years before "Hitting the Silk? Taking motor bikes in the rain at night with a flash??" ;-) "I could become known as "OLD WETHEAD?" ;-) Yeah I know I don't need to wait!" ;-) cheers, Dr.ted TEDGRANTPHOTO.COM -----Original Message----- From: LUG [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Greg Rubenstein Sent: July-11-15 5:54 AM To: lug at leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] (Leica) Barnack Award When reading about fine-art photography, it seems there's an inverse relationship between the amount of bloviation used to describe images and the quality of the images. For example: << Her snapshot-like images speak of the truth of an undisguised moment. >> Maybe her photos are sharper than the party pics we shot of friends and family with our first Kodak Brownies or Instamatics, but phrases such as that give us an undisguised look at the truth of many moments in the fine-art photo world.
