I use a 15mm lens that is killer sharp! And yes I know the "hole where the image travels through the camera or whatever?" It's only 18mm! (Thanks Bob Adler as I never knew that and always thought? "WOW, neat wide angle 15mm!" just got to love it! :-) Then my dear friend Bob Adler informed me about the 18mm hole "ONLY!" :-( Or whatever?? BROKE MY HEART AS NOW I FEEL CHEATED BY 3MM's every time I go super-wide! :-)?????? Now if he hadn't been such a good friend he wouldn't have told me and I'd have gone on for the rest of my days enjoying my beautiful Voigtlander 15mm Super-Wide lens with it's wonderful 15mm capture view. I make 13X19 prints (colour or B&W) and they look beautiful! And if you tell someone looking at a 13X19 print that it's a super-wide angle 15mm view, as I believed until Bob enlightened me? aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! BROKEN HEARTED NOW!!!! :-( The viewing person is quite complimentary about what a beautiful! READY?? "Super wide angle photo it is!" And I don't have the heart to tell them that it's only 18mm! THE BOTTOMLINE TO THIS IS???????? Do you really need to know all this ittsy-bitsy detail? IE: The fact the camera opening is only 18mm and not MY belief it's 15mm? You buy the lens as a 15mm Super wide. ERGO! You believe that is the recorded image size! So if you don't know about the 3mm difference in coverage due to the "M8 camera body" you will go through your life super pleased with your "15mm" Super wide lens!" And not knowing the "truth of 18mm coverage?" So like when some of you lads point out various little things of that nature? I don't have a clue what yer talking about? So it doesn't matter as my photos and prints look just like wonderful "Happy Snaps!" And I'm quite pleased clients don't bitch as they don't know either! They just smile, pay the invoice and offer: "JUST GREAT TED! CHAMPION JOB! BEAUTIFUL VIEW!" And my dear family that is truly all that matters! A smiling happy faced client as they hand you your cheque! :-) So please in the future unless it's something about to cause a complete camera melt down to a gooooooiiiieee mess? Please don't tell me! Or in some cases keep it to yourself because the truth of it all? "IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER!" As it's still the person holding & clicking the moment! have a nice day! :-) cheers, Dr. ted ;-)
