At first I thought I had a shot--they liked my writing, that I had interests in both technology and the arts, and that I could photograph as well as write. Then they started talking about how the community was very into "alternative lifestyles," and was I? It turned out that "alternative lifestyles" was a euphemism for taking drugs, which I didn't do. I didn't get the job.
