Subject: [Leica] B/W conversion tutorial

I have done that, Aram. Lightroom is not capable of giving the tonal
separation that you get from Bw film just from manipulating the color
channel relationships. If you're happy with it, that's fine. I spent
twenty years making exhibition prints in the darkroom and I will not
accept anything less than that level of quality from a digital conversion.

Photoshop allows greater amounts of manipulation than Lightroom, so it can
be made to give a good conversion, but as my tutorial shows, it is hard
work. Plugins make it easier.
