[Leica] eBay scam?

If you are shipping from the US, the eBay Global shipping program solves the 
customs issues.
You ship it to a US shipping site, they take it from there.
If you use the calculated shipping option at listing time, the buyer sees 
the final shipping cost, often frighteningly high.

For your current situation, I feel that paypal provides pretty good seller 
protection.
Make sure shipping charges are accurately calculated; I usually add a few 
dollars to the amount.
If you charge a 20% restocking fee and make the buyer pay return shipping, 
the ?Lookers? will go away.

In general, if you have their money in hand before shipping, you?ll probably 
be OK.
