I used to use a lab in New York City called Modernage (http://www.modernage.com/) that is still in existence and I have heard other labs around the country mentioned; there is a small lab here in Oklahoma City that does excellent work ( http://www.redriverphotoservices.com/). Perhaps it is time to start a new thread with a new title? --Bob ===On Sun, May 3, 2015 at 9:16 AM, Peter Dzwig <pdzwig at summaventures.com> wrote: > I meant the guy who does the printing, not the Epson or Hp or whatever > .... ;-) > > On 03/05/2015 02:12, Jayanand Govindaraj wrote: > > I do not think it depends on the printer, but the guy doing his > processing - at least Genesis was totally digital, if I am not mistaken. > Pushing the Shadows and the Highlights sliders to 100% each will get you > started in the right direction! :-) Seriously, though, that sort of > overwrought drama is easily possible with Silver Efex Pro, at least. > > > > A large part of the advantage that someone like Salgado has over you and > me is access - some of the polar photographs in Genesis are taken in places > that are strictly off limits for mere mortals.
