I have my newest lens glued to my camera right now its a 35mm lens and all my previous 35mm lenses for my Nikon system were cheap ones. I was in cheapskate mode when I got all of them. but his one is a latest from the people at Nikon. Its the 35mm f/1.8 AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G ED which sells for $596.95 It focuses in the dark perfectly as well as renders things out of the dark like you'd expect a very expensive 1.4 too. Before that I had a 50mm f/1.8 AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G glued to my camera for many months while saving for the 35. I am now saving for the tele. An f/1.8 AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G It reminds me of my Leica days buying fixed focal length lenes one at a time for very basic usage and having to wait very many months between new lenes.
