Kudos! to you Tina for demanding quality. That's exactly what we need to do. 
Turn away from the crap and demand the quality we want and/or need. And 
that's what the "new media" will move towards. The "interactivity" of social 
media is real and has an effect.

Yes. As various "news organizations" attempt to figure out how to remain 
solvent in the fast paced change and consolidation of "networks" we see many 
problems.

Again, the smart and intelligent will look elsewhere, deeper and wider, for 
the quality of information that they want and/or need to make useful 
decisions. Individuals like Charlie Rose, Bill Moyers, and others continue 
to do good work.

Brave New Media and other independent groups are providing better coverage 
of national and international events than any "national network" ever did. 
One has to care enough to look at what is actually available to those of us 
fortunate enough to be "connected."
