I realized something, thinking about it today. These cameras with all those 
damn bells an whistles are controlled by software in a read-only memory. It 
is very complicated software (the correct term these days if firmware). I?ve 
never heard of really complex software that doesn?t have bugs. I?m sure the 
weird random misbehavior of the X100S is not any kind of mechanical fault; 
just software bugs that the manufacturers guys are too lazy to find and fix.
