I find it almost too hard to believe how much the place has changed since I was there in 1992. But equally hard to believe that it was 23 years ago! I assume that pilgrimages to the graves of the martyrs of 1991 are not so high on the "visitors must be taken to see" list. But I also assume that there is now infinitely (all but literally) more choice of places to eat and things to eat when you get there. I recall three dishes which were served in various permutations at various meals throughout the week at the Hotel Intourist, with Restaurant Caravan-Serai as the "exotic" alternative. I suspect both are now long forgotten! Much appreciated. I looked at the images again and again and agree with Peter that they might be a bit too bright on the screen, but as prints they are fine. The opening went well with about 75 people there. Lots of questions about the center; some folks asking how they can help. So maybe some more support for the center will come from this. The parents of one of the little girls in the photos were there and the mother gave a moving talk about how the center has helped her. It was the best moment of the night? and the little girl - all smiles ? was the star of the evening. One photo (proceeds will go to the center) sold. I was surprised to sell any because of the nature of the photos and we hadn?t priced them. The one that comes up when you open the link below sold? and not to a parent but to an employee of the International Committee for the Red Cross. http://www.kollarfoto.com/the-center-exhibit /matt On Tue, Feb 17, 2015 at 4:05 AM, Ken Carney <kcarney1 at cox.net> wrote: > These are all really excellent.
