However I?m not a person with a technical knowledge neither concern to discuss very fine performances of a lens, what I can appreciate is flare, contrast / smoothness, warm or cold rendition, bokeh effect ?., for me it is more difficult appreciate and discuss about coma, distortion, vigneting?. As you know I have a certain small collection of 50?s and I like play with them, I think we can always say that for a precise circumstance a lens will be better than another, but for me, my conclusion is that the better lens is that you was using at the moment you shoot the picture. If we was studio or landscape photographers, I see a reason to hoose the best lens for that purpose, at least on my case is not my concern.
