Definitely, Tina.

Growing up in Ireland in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s (my wife says I'm still
growing up), some of the defining images of Ireland were John Hinde
postcards which inevitably featured heavily oversaturated pictures of flame
haired boyeens and girleens sitting astride beguiling donkeys loaded with
creels of turf. Aimed squarely at the tourist market, they sold in
bucketloads, and sure, didn't I buy some myself to write beseeching notes to
my parents in the hope of being rescued from far flung summer schools that
rammed the Irish language down our throats. My parents would write back
saying: "Put up with it" and, as a result, I lost my faith in the
oversaturated image :-)
