That doesn't mean that the cameras don't matter. Otherwise why are (some) people choosing Leica in the first place? Comparing the new improvements from the M9 to the M is not about brass ratchet/1mm high whatever comments. Both cameras can be used to make great shots. The new camera still has significant improvements, as it should being several years younger technology too. Whether people need/want those improvements or think that they are worth the costs to upgrade is all up to themselves of course.
