Douglas<<<<<<<<< Hi Douglas, Thank you for looking as he's been quite anxious to read comments from what he considers a great bunch of Leica shooters. However???????? It appears everyone but yourself, "THANKS AGAIN!" Are too busy to have the courtesy of looking at the photography of a "visiting real amateur photographer" wondering what the CREW thought of his "Happy Snaps? Since I've been told it's quite easy for the LUG CREW to click on his Instagram photo sight: GO FOR IT AND BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! :-) http://instagram.com/tedgrant317 - You do not need to have an Instagram account! I expected a few comments good, bad or truthful! Actually regardless of whether I'm his father or not, I can honestly and unequivocally say he has images here equal to and better than some posted on the LUG daily! NOW HOW'S THAT FOR A COURTESY CHALLENGE TO ANSWER A visitors post? It will be extremely appreciated with a big thank you to those who do. thank you Ted (the father) -----Original Message----- From: LUG [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Douglas Barry Sent: September-17-14 12:27 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] Instagram -- YOU WONT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!! :-) Well done Ted, you've passed on THE EYE!!! Hi Luis & George: Thanks for taking a look at No.1 sons' IPHONE photos that he's been shooting for the heck of it the past few months. I'm not sure if all you LUGGERS can connect to instagram and his address or not? But let me assure you without a doubt many of you, yep a whole bunch of you will be quite surprised at the images and the quality. Each image, the very high quality ones have been printed a size 11.7 X 16.5 and look beautiful. Many of you know of the incredible photographer quality of #2 son Scott.(that's 2nd born son) THE SPORT PHOTOGRAPHER just back from Australia and Hawaii covering international swimming events . No.1 son Ted did a fair amount of photography when he was a young lad, then basically dropped it due to his education and career. UNTIL?????????? He dropped by to make a few prints of images he'd knocked off with his...I hate to say it BUT! "IPHONE!" To say the least, if we disregard the 'IPHONE" as the tool used to capture the images? The bulk of the images fall into A "FINE ART?" Character with a LEICA. However quite a number fall into pure photojournalism at its best! Oh years ago he shot mostly with Leica M cameras and film but then his education became far more important. But now the thrill of what he's been shooting and the possibility of producing a book he is quite excited as I am. My "feel good part?" Making these beautiful images into PRINTS! If you can't connect to his INSTAGRAM ADDRESS. We'll load thm onto a LEICA GALLERY ADDRESS so you can have a look. cheers, ted 1" -----Original Message----- >From: LUG [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On >Behalf >Of George Lottermoser Sent: September-16-14 8:28 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] Instagram On Sep 16, 2014, at 5:42 AM, Lluis Ripoll wrote: > Yes, I?m surprised too by the quality. Let me know what you think. you can bring any photo (from camera, tablets, computers, phones - whatever) into instagram. though obviously the insta comes quickest to the phones and tablets the app runs on.
