Depth of field is a BIG variable as well. In the studio I might typically set f/9 and it will still be on that four hours later. That is different for lower light wider open applications (maybe more typical for how some people use their cameras?) But on precision I think the RF is unbeatable (when camera and lens properly calibrated and technique is good). On catching fleeting moments with fast moving kids in lower light as with Bob's example, I certainly follow his impressions there. Also we are discussing using the M of course, other systems may well be very different, but then if you put AF into the equation that is a whole other conversation.
