Hi Geoff, portrait-making is indeed a tricky art, you've got to watch 
altogether what posture and attitude and eyes and neck reveal about the 
model - and maybe yourself - plus be wary of the lighting and shadow effects 
and choose the right speed and the right aperture, etc. ... Your portraits 
are technically very well done, I don't know much about portraits, this is a 
very candid opinion. But beyond the technique, there's the way you focus on 
your models 'eyes, these people look so good and so comfortable! This tells 
the story about how you master the relationship with the person you want to 
make a portrait of and thus get the best they can give you.
