The chip put some lens info into the EXIF data, but did nothing for metering. Maybe a newer chip does, now. Just so you know. As for the Canon exposure stopped down it is not accurate and currently my Rayqual is not chipped. -----Original Message----- >From: "philippe.amard" <philippe.amard at sfr.fr> >Sent: Apr 9, 2014 12:48 PM >To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> >Subject: Re: [Leica] Lens Adapters: Leica R to EOS > >I concur > >My experience is transforming two lenses myself using cheap nikon >mounts from the bay. >Worked well, so long as I used the nikon ;-) > >Nearly forgot - the transformation is reversible, which I plan to do >for use on the fuji as I have the adaptor for my Ang?nieux. > >If you go the Leitax road, be sure to order the ones with chips - >Canon metering is unreliable without I'm told. > >Amities >Philippe > >Le 9 avr. 14 ? 21:30, Jayanand Govindaraj a ?crit : > >> Wayne, >> If you do not mind a semi-permanent, but reversible, adaptation this >> might >> be the best solution.
