The Metabones is the cheap alternative ($99 vs. $210) to the Novoflex and while it works ok, I have developed an issue of the screws on the adapter coming lose and needing tightening. I am guessing that I should get the Novoflex and avoid that problem. Other than that, I am thrilled with the a7R and to be able to use ALL of my R lenses. The lens profile in LR fixes any distortion issues that may arise from the use of the 21-35 Vario-Elmar ASPH.
