They've not all turned into a bunch of techno geeks. Should it be the case however no that they just sit on the cameras unused while everyone uses the new electronic thing instead than that would be an awfully expensive and bulky unnecessary add on that even for nostalgia sake would be impossible to justify. Thing is this is not the case at all and its not even close. People weighing in all seem to use the mechanical rangefinder more not less than the new technology. So it would not make any kind of sense for Leica to just go with the electronic rangefinder on a new M flagship. Perhaps on an alternate camera. Also an alternate camera with no electronic rangefinder and just the more traditional mechanical.. The camera has become dauntingly complex and expensive and big and heavy it would seem to make sense to come out with some KISS simpler versions which would have less money and weight.
