We have a place like this in Alicante too--no menu, just whatever was good at the market that morning. As for Vin Santo, it is called that because it is used at mass. We bought a couple of bottles during our first visit to Tuscany in 1997. We drank one shortly thereafter, and did not like it too much. I still have the other bottle, probably has turned into Holy Vinegar by now ;-) Cheers, Nathan Nathan Wajsman Alicante, Spain http://www.frozenlight.eu http://www.greatpix.eu PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws Blog: http://nathansmusings.wordpress.com/ YNWA On Feb 10, 2014, at 5:39 PM, Tina Manley wrote: > PESO: > > Near the paper mills, we discovered a wonderful working-man's cafe where > all of the paper mill employees ate lunch.
